CESL Asia held its “Sport Fun Day 2018” for the second year yesterday (28 October) with an aim to promote an inclusive society with people from all groups. The key mission of the event is to spread positivity through sports with support from like-minded partners who share the same intention. The event raised a total amount of $160,000 in donations to the MSO to support its disabled sports development and social welfare programs.

CESL Asia held its “Sport Fun Day 2018” for the second year yesterday (28 October) with an aim to promote an inclusive society with people from all groups. The key mission of the event is to spread positivity through sports with support from like-minded partners who share the same intention. The event raised a total amount of $160,000 in donations to the MSO to support its disabled sports development and social welfare programs.

The event consisted of Football and Bocce tournaments. More than 200 participants, students and volunteers gathered at the stadium to sweat for a good cause. Through the interaction between all kinds of members in the society including the challenged or underprivileged, it enhanced the challenged group’s confidence in the society with a fulfilled potential, as well as raising the awareness for the integration of all people.

The impact and success of the event were attributed to the generous support of the participating teams, namely Banco Comercial de Macau, BNU, BOC Macau Branch Sports Association, Banco Tai Fung, Be-1, Macau International Airport Co. On 27 August, CESL Asia hosted its “Kids Movie Day” for the eighth consecutive year. The company and its Social Investment (CSI) Team have been bringing over 15 local beneficial institutions to the event during the past years; apart from arousing public attention towards underprivileged children, CESL Asia hopes to propagate a positive message to the local children and encourage them contributing back to Macao's community.

On 27 August, CESL Asia hosted its “Kids Movie Day” for the eighth consecutive year. The company and its Social Investment (CSI) Team have been bringing over 15 local beneficial institutions to the event during the past years; apart from arousing public attention towards underprivileged children, CESL Asia hopes to propagate a positive message to the local children and encourage them contributing back to Macao's community.

A total of four local institutions were invited to the event, including Fuhong Society of Macau, Association of Mentally Disabled Families, Mong Ha Children and Youth Home, and Joy Integrated Family Service Centre of Caritas Macau, together with the children from CSI Team made up a total of 120 participants. Being a long-term partnership with the company, Golden Burger (Macau) Food Company Limited has been supporting the event fully throughout the years. The President and CEO of CESL Asia, Mr. Antonio Trindade, Director, Mr. Dominic Sio; and the CEO of Golden Burger Group and Developmental Licensee of McDonald’s Macau, Ms. Michelle Ho, plus both companies’ management team presented in this event.

The fantastic performance and interactive game show of Mr. Ronald McDonald were a highlight of the event. The CSI Team then led all participants to the Planetarium of Macao Science Center for a lively and entertaining introduction of company local services that beneficial to the community and how are those services connected with the kids in daily life. We aim to inspire and encourage our future ones about the importance of giving back to the community where we are living. Hereafter the movie “The Little Prince” was featured, and the company mainly selected this movie for the promotion of positive thinking as well as cherish moments. The day was later ended with a tour in Macao Science Center whereas all participants spent a great time in learning the popular science in a lively and vivid fashion, and Macao Science Center fully sponsored all admission tickets. In addition, we would like to express our sincere thanks to Global Communications Advertising & Marketing Ltd for their support in organizing this meaningful event.

The President and CEO of CESL Asia, Mr. Antonio Trindade expressed that children are important stakeholders and the pillars of future. CESL Asia held its “Kids Movie Day” for the seventh consecutive year with an aim to spread the love and care to the kids from local child institutions and bring joyfulness to them. CESL Asia Social Investment (CSI) Team gathered over 100 kids and 30 volunteers to enjoy an animation movie and disseminate the idea of building harmonious society.

CESL Asia held its “Kids Movie Day” for the seventh consecutive year with an aim to spread the love and care to the kids from local child institutions and bring joyfulness to them. CESL Asia Social Investment (CSI) Team gathered over 100 kids and 30 volunteers to enjoy an animation movie and disseminate the idea of building harmonious society.

The event was held on 14 October and CESL Asia Social Investment Team counted with the presence of Mr. António Trindade, Mr. Dominic Sio and the most senior members of CESL Asia Executive team as well as kids from CESL Asia’s volunteers who hosted. Kids from Macau Special Olympics, Cradle of Hope, Fountain of Hope and Fountain of Love and Joy Integrated Family Services Centre. In total we had over 130 participants who enjoyed an animation movie and a brunch party.

As has been the case in the past years, the party at McDonald’s restaurant at Macao Science Center was a highlight in the program to further delight the kids with a nice brunch and entertainment. Ms. Michelle Ho, CEO of Golden Burger (Macau) Food Company Limited and Developmental Licensee for McDonald’s Macau, and their management team were also present at the party and joined-in a great time with the kids through the joyful meals and interactive games. During the occasion, the presence of Ronald McDonald and his interaction with the kids led to a playful end to the brunch. After the brunch, all kids participated in an educating visit of the Macao Science Centre while all admissions were fully sponsored by the Center. All kids enjoyed the animation movie that followed the meal and visit to the Macao Science Centre, and made-up for an unforgettable day, a perfect ending for this CESL Asia Social Investment activity.

We all in CESL Asia, with senior management leadership, hope to contribute to nurture Macau kids as they are our future and, in this way, we expect to contribute to their upbringing, to grow our city. One of the volunteers from CSI team expressed that this is valuable experience which allowed their kids to communicate with different sectors in society and at the same time, the kids can leave to give a helping hand to others and care for disadvantaged groups in the society.

CESL Asia established “CESL Asia Social Investment” fund (CSI) since 2000. Each year, CESL Asia devotes part of its corporate revenue to social worthy investments of local youth and community development. In the future, CESL Asia will take a proactive role in promoting harmonious society and in hand with the public to create a better tomorrow.

The CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day was held on 10 June at Workers Stadium, a cooperative effort to promote social integration and stimulate institutional, corporate and public awareness for the untapped potential for the challenged members of our community as contributors for the social and economic development of our community. The event, with the support of participating entities and individuals, succeeded in raising a total of MOP 80,000 for Macau Special Olympics (MSO) to empower its mission of transforming lives through sports.

The CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day was held on 10 June at Workers Stadium, a cooperative effort to promote social integration and stimulate institutional, corporate and public awareness for the untapped potential for the challenged members of our community as contributors for the social and economic development of our community. The event, with the support of participating entities and individuals, succeeded in raising a total of MOP 80,000 for Macau Special Olympics (MSO) to empower its mission of transforming lives through sports.

This year’s event aimed at increasing the number of participants that are involved in CESL Asia’s annual Sport Fun Day activities by including a bocce ball tournament alongside with the annual football tournament which have received great support and recognition from those participating in previous years. The bocce tournament fostered face-to-face interactions among participating teams with MSO athletes and families as well as cultivated mutual understanding through the joy of participating in sports activities. The on-site Kids Corner extended the fun to the younger participants and also helped to introduce them to the benefits of an inclusive society into all aspects.

Some participants expressed their excitement in exploring the bocce game and the hand-on experience of partnering with MSO athletes; while the latter shared their joy in meeting new friends.

On 13 May, Mr. António Trindade, the President and Chief Executive Officer of CESL Asia, led the group’s Social Investment Team to the Macao Blood Transfusion Service Centre for collective blood donation, encouraging the life-saving voluntary acts and ensuring sufficient blood supplies for the city.

On 24 August, CESL Asia organized its Kids Movie Day for the sixth consecutive year. CESL Asia Social Investment (CSI) Team entertained around 80 local kids with the animation movie Chibi Maruko-chan: The Boy from Italy, through which the company wished to deliver a message of embracing cultural diversity to the kids while they were enjoying the movie. After that, a lunch party at McDonald’s restaurant in Macao Science Center was arranged to further amuse the kids.

The performance of classic McDonald’s iconic characters and interactive games aroused continuous peals of merry laughter and exaltation of all participants, perking up an exciting ambience.

Participating kids came from four local child care institutions, Cradle of Hope Association, Fountain of Hope Association, Lotto Home, and Mong-Há Children and Youth Home, many of which CESL Asia have been working with for years to jointly create unforgettable summers for the less fortunate kids. CESL Asia Kids Movie Day over the years witnesses the growth of the kids and meanwhile enables CSI Team to gain precious and beneficial experience.

CESL Asia invited football teams from Administration of Airports Ltd, Banco Nacional Ultramarino, Be-1, Consulate General of Portugal in Macau & Hong Kong and the Macau Institution of Engineers to participate in this meaningful event. Banco Comercial de Macau, Macau Coca-Cola Beverage Co. Ltd. and Milton Exhibits & Engineering (Macau) Ltd. also provided generous support to make this charitable event more successful.

After several rounds of keen competition, the championship went to CESL Asia Team. The tournament finally came to a successful end with a check presentation by Mr. António Trindade, the President & CEO of CESL Asia, to Mr. Hetzer Siu, the CEO of the Macau Special Olympics.

With its Social Investment fund, CESL Asia is devoted to organizing and participating in activities to promote social development and assist the disadvantaged in the community, and at the same time provides its staff with opportunities to enrich their experience of developing closer ties with business associates, families and our community while developing a company leadership that is mindful of high business performance with high integrity.

Macau Special Olympics, a non-profit organization, is active in providing social integration and inclusion by providing sport trainings and competitions, vocational rehabilitation services and social assistance to people with intellectual disabilities and with special education needs.
