CESL Asia and the Macau Youth Art Association collaborated to co-organize the "CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative Kid's Drawing Contest 2023 - Sustainable Carnival." This competition, now in its fourth edition, provided an opportunity for students in Macau, aged 8 to 14, to showcase their artistic talents and unleash their creativity around the theme of sustainable carnivals, emphasizing diversification, eco-friendliness, inclusion, and celebration.

CESL Asia and the Macau Youth Art Association collaborated to co-organize the "CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative Kid's Drawing Contest 2023 - Sustainable Carnival." This competition, now in its fourth edition, provided an opportunity for students in Macau, aged 8 to 14, to showcase their artistic talents and unleash their creativity around the theme of sustainable carnivals, emphasizing diversification, eco-friendliness, inclusion, and celebration.

The awards ceremony took place on 16th June at the McDonald's located within the Macao Science Center. The event was attended by over 60 distinguished guests, including the winners and their families, who gathered to commemorate this significant occasion.

During the event, Mr. Antonio Trindade, President and CEO of CESL Asia, expressed his admiration for the artworks created by the talented students. He remarked on the “incredible level of creativity, imagination, and innovative ideas displayed by the students in promoting urban sustainability and sustainable lifestyles” reinforcing that “these young students are actively contributing to grow a collective vision for a more sustainable Macau."

Mr. Lai Sio Kit, the Director General of the Macau Youth Art Association, also expressed his appreciation for the high quality of the entries. "It was evident that the students invested significant thought and effort into their artworks and explored a diverse range of themes related to sustainability and eco-friendliness.”

The winners of this year contest are as follows: Tam Cheng Hei - Escola Choi Nong Chi Ta - Champion Award; Lei Meng Cheng - Escola São Paulo - 1st Runner-up Award, Chon Nga Si - Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima - Secção Chinesa - 2nd Runner-up Award; Iong Tong U - Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima - Secção Chinesa - 3rd Runner-up Award. Additionally, 35 Merit Awards, the Online Popularity Award, and 3 Organization Supporting Artistry Awards acknowledged outstanding talent and contributions.

The contest aims to promote sustainability and environmental awareness among children in Macau while encouraging their imagination to create a happy and sustainable carnival.

The contest aims to promote sustainability and environmental awareness among children in Macau while encouraging their imagination to create a happy and sustainable carnival.

From April 3rd to May 5th, 2023, Macau students aged 8 to 14 are invited to participate in the “Sustainable Carnival Kid's Drawing Contest”, showcasing their artistic talents and creativity while exploring the theme of sustainable carnivals, with a focus on Diversification, Eco-friendliness, Inclusion, and Celebration.

By promoting sustainability and environmental awareness among Macau's youth, the “Sustainable Carnival Kid's Drawing Contest” encourages children to think creatively about how events can be organized and enjoyed in a way that benefits both people and the planet, contributing to growing a happier and more environmentally conscious city.

For over two decades, CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII) has been contributing to the sustainable social and economic development of Macau through active annual programs that encourage education, inclusion, sustainability, healthy lifestyles, and innovation.

True Born Beef is an innovative “Farm to Fork” meat offering. Its highly controlled production process includes flash ultra-frozen technology to safely preserve its unique taste and freshness and reduce food waste.

We also own and operate 3 solar plants in Portugal of state-of-the-art HCPV technology and we are implementing an innovative AgriPV solution in Monte do Pasto enabling the protection of livestock against solar radiation and thermal stress while producing electricity.

“CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day” unleashes inclusion through the joy of sports for the sixth consecutive year

The “CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day” held on November 27th at Macau Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium brought together 21 entities and over 200 participants, and raised MOP 110,000 in donations to Macau Special Olympics (MSO).

The “CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day” held on November 27th at Macau Federation of Trade Unions Workers Stadium brought together 21 entities and over 200 participants, and raised MOP 110,000 in donations to Macau Special Olympics (MSO).

The event that took place for the sixth consecutive year was launched by CESL Asia Corporate Social Investment Initiative (CSII) to support MSO athletes’ development programs and promote values of equality and inclusion within the community.

Competing in the Football and Bocce tournament of this annual event were teams from partnering entities and organizations. All teams were joined by MSO athletes and everyone enjoyed one more day full of enthusiasm and inspiration, learnings about overcoming challenges through building confidence and with a transforming impact. We all won and celebrated with the trophy winners together: Macau Institution of Engineers was crowned champion of the “Corporate Football Tournament”, and Bank of China and Macau Association for Parents of People with Developmental Disabilities’ “Set Sail” were crowned champion of the “Golden Cup and Silver Plate Corporate Inclusive Bocce Tournament”.

To allow MSO athletes to try new sports activities, Sporting Clube de Macau set up a Sporting Trial Zone where those athletes experienced the thrill of football training with professional players. Families were also invited to experience an afternoon of healthy living outdoors by practicing sports.

CESL Asia President and CEO Mr. António Trindade said: "We can see from testimonials from our employees who volunteer to participate at the event, from the growing involvement of our partners, and from what’s being shared by MSO families that the impact of this CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day is quite broad and transformational. This year is the 35th anniversary of MSO and we are honored to be their long-term and likeminded partner, and hoping to continue growing the community with MSO in a sustainable way.

CESL Asia is partnering with Macau Youth Art Association to organize the “Sustainable City Mascot Teen’s Design Contest 2022”. This event is part of CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative and aims to get students thinking about how to grow a more sustainable city and society, the values that guide sustainable development and the initiatives, projects and technologies that help design a city model that is ideal for the lifestyles of the future generation.

CESL Asia is partnering with Macau Youth Art Association to organize the “Sustainable City Mascot Teen’s Design Contest 2022”. This event is part of CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative and aims to get students thinking about how to grow a more sustainable city and society, the values that guide sustainable development and the initiatives, projects and technologies that help design a city model that is ideal for the lifestyles of the future generation.

Macau students aged 12 to 17 are welcomed to participate, by submitting a design of an original Mascot that personifies what a sustainable city represents and could become its ambassador. The contest will be open for enrollment from April 27th to June 06th 2022.

Owing to the vision of creating better environmental, social and economic conditions and enhancing Macau’s attractiveness and the competitiveness of its communities has been at the heart of CESL Asia business activity. Both its Critical Facilities for Architecture and Engineering Consultancy and its Management Services actively promote the implementation of environmentally friendly solutions in assets and operations. This vision is also present in its investment strategy in renewable energy, sustainable agriculture and food.

The competition invited Macao students aged 8 to 12 to share their creative visions about what is a sustainable, environmentally and people’ friendly city and over one hundred high-quality artworks were submitted.

CESL Asia and the Macau Youth Art Association co-organized the “CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII) Kid’s Drawing Contest 2021” themed “Our Sustainable City”.

The competition invited Macao students aged 8 to 12 to share their creative visions about what is a sustainable, environmentally and people’ friendly city and over one hundred high-quality artworks were submitted.

The awards ceremony took place at St. Joseph University Gallery on 11th June. On this occasion, Mr. Antonio Trindade, President and CEO of CESL Asia said: “We organized this drawing contest to inspire our city’s next generation to learn about Sustainable Development as we consider of the highest importance it is better prepared to participate in growing Macao’s economic and socially sustainable future. We were very happy to see in all the artworks the strong commitment of this younger generation towards sustainability and the desire of higher quality of life.”

The artworks were evaluated by a jury composed by Mr. Lei Ieng Wai (Vice President), Mr. Lai Sio Kit (Director General), Ms. Julia Lam (Secretary General) and Ms. Wing Pun (Committee Council) from the Macau Youth Art Association. The four judges unanimously agreed “the drawings were very creative and showcased the students’ wonderful artistic skills and their motivation to live in a greener, healthier and happier city”.

“CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII) Kid’s Drawing Contest 2021” happy winners were: Most Creative Award Chan Si Lam (Escola Choi Nong Chi Tai), Outstanding Artistic Award Huang Teng San (Hou Kong Premier School Affiliated to Hou Kong Middle School), Silver Award Mok Ho I (Colégio de Santa Rosa de Lima - Secção Chinesa), Bronze Award Chan Hio Mei (Escola Tong Nam Secondary School) and Online Popularity Award Mak Chon Hou. CESL Asia – Investments and Services, Limited (CESL Asia) is honored for the award of the Gold Prize of Macau Architecture Award 2020 to Architect Mário Neves, who lead a team of in-house talented Architects and Engineering professionals. The award of the Architects Association of Macau distinguishes ‘Taipa Pequena Lookout’ (Project), an urban leisure and tourist facility promoted by DSSOPT of the Government of the Macau SAR and designed by Macau Professional Services Ltd. (MPS).

CESL Asia – Investments and Services, Limited (CESL Asia) is honored for the award of the Gold Prize of Macau Architecture Award 2020 to Architect Mário Neves, who lead a team of in-house talented Architects and Engineering professionals. One of CESL Asia missions has been to focus on the built environment as an important basis for the design and implementation of integrated city infrastructures that can address and satisfy the community’s social and cultural needs, help promote eco-projects and achieve a positive socio-economic impact for our community. This Corporate mission is well aligned with the guiding principle for the design of this Project requiring the preservation and respect for the hilly topography of the site and its surrounding landscape while addressing the functional requirements set by DSSOPT, as part of the initiatives set by Macau SAR Government for the revitalization of urban spaces.

As with other work of MPS—like the ‘Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre’, a sports and leisure facility designed by MPS in 2005 for the Sports Institute—the awarded Project is becoming an important city landmark while contributing to the diversification of the urban facilities offered by the Macau Government to improve the quality of life of its citizens and to provide new attractions for tourists.

CESL Asia expresses its appreciation to DSSOPT of the Government of the Macau SAR for the opportunity to jointly work on this project as well as the Architects Association of Macau and other entities that contributed and made possible for us to receive the distinction conferred by this Gold Prize Award. CESL Asia is organizing a Kid’s Drawing Contest themed “How to Grow a Beautiful City” to celebrate its “CESL Asia Social Investment 20th Anniversary”. The Kid’s Drawing Contest will encourage children to explore beauty, harmony and inclusion in the community using their imagination and coloring and drawing talent. It also provides an opportunity to enrich children’s at-home activities and to increase family interaction, love, positive energy and well-being.

CESL Asia is organizing a Kid’s Drawing Contest themed “How to Grow a Beautiful City” to celebrate its “CESL Asia Social Investment 20th Anniversary”.

The Kid’s Drawing Contest will encourage children to explore beauty, harmony and inclusion in the community using their imagination and coloring and drawing talent. It also provides an opportunity to enrich children’s at-home activities and to increase family interaction, love, positive energy and well-being.

The Contest is now open for enrolment until 9th September to Macao children ages 8-12. To participate parents and kids should scan the QR Code on the poster or visit CESL Asia’s Facebook page for detailed information. The judging and selection will be based on the following criteria: adherence to the theme, design creativity as well as drawing skills and color combination, all drawings that include a reference related to CESL Asia Social Investment Program will be awarded a bonus. Professional art judges will be invited to select the Champion, First Runner-Up, Second Runner-Up, Third Runner-Up and 30 Merit Awards based on the above criteria. Additionally, there will also be an Online Popularity Award and other surprise awards. There will be great prizes for the winners.

CESL Asia Donates 11,000 Surgical Masks to support Monte do Pasto and local Communities in Alentejo, Portugal

CESL Asia has donated 11,000 surgical masks for the protection against COVID-19 of all its employees at Monte do Pasto and our local communities in Alentejo, Portugal. The donation was made possible with the collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Portugal, the Embassy of Portugal in Beijing and the Consulate General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong that made it possible to safely deliver these masks to Portugal, symbolizing the excellent bilateral relationship and cooperation between companies and institutions in Macao, China and Portugal.
