Macau Architecture Awards Gold Prize of 2020 awarded to a team lead by Architect Mário Neves of MPS for the design of ‘Taipa Pequena Lookout’ Facility

CESL Asia – Investments and Services, Limited (CESL Asia) is honored for the award of the Gold Prize of Macau Architecture Award 2020 to Architect Mário Neves, who lead a team of in-house talented Architects and Engineering professionals. The award of the Architects Association of Macau distinguishes ‘Taipa Pequena Lookout’ (Project), an urban leisure and tourist facility promoted by DSSOPT of the Government of the Macau SAR and designed by Macau Professional Services Ltd. (MPS).

One of CESL Asia missions has been to focus on the built environment as an important basis for the design and implementation of integrated city infrastructures that can address and satisfy the community’s social and cultural needs, help promote eco-projects and achieve a positive socio-economic impact for our community. This Corporate mission is well aligned with the guiding principle for the design of this Project requiring the preservation and respect for the hilly topography of the site and its surrounding landscape while addressing the functional requirements set by DSSOPT, as part of the initiatives set by Macau SAR Government for the revitalization of urban spaces.

As with other work of MPS—like the ‘Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre’, a sports and leisure facility designed by MPS in 2005 for the Sports Institute—the awarded Project is becoming an important city landmark while contributing to the diversification of the urban facilities offered by the Macau Government to improve the quality of life of its citizens and to provide new attractions for tourists.

CESL Asia expresses its appreciation to DSSOPT of the Government of the Macau SAR for the opportunity to jointly work on this project as well as the Architects Association of Macau and other entities that contributed and made possible for us to receive the distinction conferred by this Gold Prize Award. Likewise, CESL Asia praises the consistent quality, relevance of the work of MPS design teams led by Architect Mário Neves as well as the work of all colleagues in MPS, FOCUS and CESL Asia in their commitment to serve our community while growing our city together and sustainably.
