Q: Under the great blueprint of Chinese National Strategy – One Belt One Road as well as the Great Bay Area
Development, as a member of the platform, what will be the role of Macau engineers?
在中國國家戰略「一帶一路」以及大灣區發展的宏偉藍圖下，作為平台的一分子，澳門工程師擔當怎樣的角
色呢？
RC: Under these two invigorating national strategies, Macau engineers can seize tremendous opportunities, to facilitate
the transnational collaboration between mainland and Portuguese speaking countries. The Macau engineers can act as
an important role to help mainland companies in overseas investment and enhance the technology breakthrough by
bringing technologies back to mainland.

With no doubt, Macau has a significant role in economic and financial terms as part of the One Belt One Road, in
particular to the sector of Investment and Infrastructure Construction in the Portuguese speaking countries. In the
engineering aspect, Macau has its unique competency relying on the familiarity to the Portuguese system, especially
the administration procedure. By effectively combining the above competency with the platform of the Portuguese
speaking engineers, we are able to support the mainland companies assessing their investment and engineering projects
accurately.

On the other hand, under the Great Bay Area Development Plan, the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau can supplement
each other with its individual competencies. Macau has a special opportunity, which is the participation in the Hengqin
New Area Development – Research and Development area. There will be many incubators, R&D centers and science
parks operating in this area. While the existing platform is a repository accumulating the engineering knowledge and
state of art technologies from all the Portuguese speaking engineers, Macau engineers can leverage the platform through
their talent and shining in this area.

RC：澳門工程師可以把握當中巨大的機遇，促進大陸和葡語系國家間的跨國合作。為此，澳門工程師的作
用致關重要; 他們可以通過將技術帶回大陸來加強技術突破，並幫助內地公司進行海外投資。

毫無疑問，作為“一帶一路”的一部分，澳門在經濟和金融方面發揮著重要的角色，特別在葡語系國家的投
資和基礎設施建設領域。在工程建議角度，澳門憑藉對葡萄牙行政和管理體系的熟悉程度，在與葡語工程師
平台相結合下更見如魚得水，能夠支持內地公司準確評估他們的投資和工程項目。

另一方面，根據大灣區發展計劃，廣東、香港和澳門可以互補不足之餘。澳門更有一個額外的特別機會，就
是參與鄰近橫琴新區開發。當中高新科技是其中主要的一環，而橫琴新區亦會有不少初創中心，科研中心和
科學園區。現時平台就像一個寶庫匯集了來自葡語系國家工程師的知識和技術，澳門工程師亦自然可以通過
他們的才能利用好該平台，在這一領域發光。
