Most of the emergency handling performed during that day, from planning to preparation, followed by manpower
        arrangement, great hard work was seen from the team. Many staff had to handle incident by the seashore, it was still
        a perilous task even though with full personal protection equipment. Despite the dangerous conditions, our staff still
        performed a satisfactory job and nobody was injured. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our colleagues,
        frontline staff and also the understanding and cooperation of the terminal users.

         由於碼頭是口岸地方,營運、安全及保安這三點都需要立即處理。加上這是碼頭開放後第一次受到颱風考
         驗,更是多年難得一遇的強颱風,期間出現了很多突發事故。而當天的緊急處理均具一定危險性,以電器系
         統為例,當發現地庫水位不斷上升時,我們決定關閉所有電器設備,以防止發生電器短路等問題,關閉後也
         立刻呼籲同事撤離以確保安全。同時,我們亦對室內電力系統進行檢查,把容易造成危險的裝置包好、關閉
         或做水流引導等,避免發生危險。慶幸當天客運碼頭的四台發電機都運作正常,但為盡量延長電力及保證有
         關生命安全的系統能正常運作,例如消防及照明等,我們還是關閉了非必要的設備,以減少發電機的燃料耗
         損。

         其實當天緊急處理,由計劃及準備,繼而調動人手,全部團隊成員皆全力以赴,賣命完成任務。很多同事需
         要到岸邊處理事故,雖已配戴充足的個人保護裝備以確保自身安全,但畢竟還是具一定危險性,縱然如此,
         同事們也做好本分,而且效果也令人滿意,亦沒有任何一位同事受傷。在此再次感謝超過二十五位同事們,
         所有同事及前線人員的付出,亦感謝碼頭使用者的體諒與配合。






































         Q     What are the damages after typhoon attack and the progress of follow-up works?
           問 吹襲過後的損毀情況及後續帶來善後工作如何?

         Our staff performed repair works immediately after typhoon signal was lowered and to resume limited operation of
        terminal as soon as possible to allow passengers to leave the terminal safely. With different parties’ effort, we opened
        a multi-functional berth to resume ferry services on the same day, followed by one more berth the next day. Aiming
        not to affect the passengers and ferry services, we constantly performed repair works for the aforementioned incidents
        such as damage of interior false ceiling, signage board, lighting system, etc. up till today, with the hope to assist re-
        sumption of operation quickly.

        為盡快協助碼頭恢復有限度的營運以疏導滯留的旅客,在除下風球後,同事們便立刻對電力系統及登船橋
        等損毀設施進行搶修,希望能盡快復航。經各方努力後,我們當天隨即開放了一個多功能泊位;第二天再
        多復恢一個泊位。              至於剛提到的其他損毀設施,例如室內天花,指示牌、照明裝置等,我們也爭分奪秒
        地,在不影響旅客及航運前提下,至今仍然繼續進行修復,務求支援碼頭營運。
