Largo do Senado  It is also known as “Fountain” in Chinese and was the
                                                  議事亭前地           former official legislative institution in the old days. In
                                                                  1960s, a bronze statue of Vicente Nicolau de Mesquita
                                                                  was  placed  in  the  square  but  then  being  pulled  down;
                                                                  therefore, a fountain was built. The Senado Square is one
                                                                  of the “Macau Historic Center” sites enlisted in the World
                                                                  Heritage Site in 2005.

                                                                  議事亭前地俗稱噴水池,以前是葡萄牙政府及中國
                                                                  官員的議事機構,故稱議事亭前地。60年代時,
                                                                  該廣場曾豎立美士基打銅像,後來被拉倒後則建噴
                                                                  水池取代,這也是議事亭前地別名「噴水池」的由
                                                                  來。2005年,議事亭前地被列入世界文化遺產名錄
                                                                  的「澳門歷史城區」一部分。
               Portas do Cerco (Border Gate)
               關閘
         Border Gate was built in 1574 as the entry gate to Chi-
         na. After Macau being the colony of Portuguese govern-
         ment, the Arc de Triomphe Gate (called the Border Gate)
         was built in 1871 and it is well preserved nowadays. In
         2004, the new Immigration building was completed to
         cope with the huge flow of daily customs clearance to
         and from China.

         關閘始建於1574年,當時的市民需經過此地方通往
         中國內地的關口,直至葡萄牙政府統治後,葡國政
         府於1871年建成凱旋門式大閘門(稱關閘拱門),
         如今拱門部分被保留下來,2004年新的關閘邊檢大
         樓建成,以應付每天通關的龐大人流。



                                                                        Macau Palace (Floating Casino)
                                                                        皇宮娛樂場

                                                                  Macau  Palace  was  the  only  floating  casino  in  Macau,
                                                                  which  started  its  operation  since  1995.  It  was  located
                                                                  in Macau’s inner harbor with equipped restaurants and
                                                                  nightclub. The casino was relocated to the outer Ferry
                                                                  Terminal in 1999 and closed permanently in 2007. The
                                                                  casino then moved and parked near Rua Norte do Patane
                                                                  after closing and becomes the collective memory of Ma-
                                                                  cau.

                                                                  是昔日澳門唯一一艘在船上開設的娛樂場,並於
                                                                  1995年正式營運,前身為珠江畫舫,又俗稱「賊
                                                                  船」,原址在內港碼頭,設有酒家、夜總會,曾於
                                                                  99年遷往外港碼頭側營業,後於07結束營業,遷至
                                                                  筷子基北灣停泊,成為澳門人的集體回憶。
