ears of collaboration with the Portuguese manufacturer of Magpower Inc., has made CESL Asia ada- mant in expanding its business profile. In 2012, the two companies made a joint venture of 200 million Ypatacas in developing technological and scientific activities, commercial activities as well as promotion of power generation facility projects in southern Portugal before reaching an official partnership entitled “Part- nership Agreement” over technology transfer. The agreement inked between the two parties highlighted two projects both related to solar power plant devel- OUR PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT 我們的員工發展 opment. These two projects which enjoyed a special license granted by the Portuguese government aimed to develop new technologies in the territory, including Concentrated Photovoltaics (CPV). Our company’s first solar plant project, CPV Energia I, has been running smoothly in its developmental stage since its complete tracker connection to the Portuguese National Grid last year. Another solar plant, PV Mal- hada, expects its first phase of connection to be initiated this year. In an interview conducted last November when Carlos was at our head office for a meeting, Miguel and he, both responsible for supervision of the plant operation, shared with us the role of CESL Asia throughout the entire project and the promising prospect of the CPV technology, as well as how they have been maintaining their efficient communications.
