The “8th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum” commenced in Macao on 1 June.
This year was themed “Multi-Innovative, Industry-Promoting, and Sustainable Infrastructure” , more than 1,700
industry leaders from 63 countries and regions were attracted to participate in the event.

Rooted in Macao over the years, CESL Asia played an important role in supporting Belt & Road Policy and
spared no effort to boost the communications between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. We are hon-
ored to have signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the "China-Portuguese Speaking Countries Co
operation and Development Fund" under the witness of Mr. Chui San On, Chief Executive of Macao SAR and
the officials of China Development Bank during the opening ceremony of the forum. The strategic cooperation
agreement aims to develop Macao as the platform between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. Follow-
ing the official establishment of the headquarter of the “China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Co-operation
and Development Fund” in Macao, CESL Asia will lead the local companies to further investment and cooper-
ation between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries so as to diversify Macau economy, benefiting more
local enterprises.

In addition, Mr. António Trindade, the President and Chief Executive Officer of CESL Asia chaired a seminar
themed “Cooperation on Productive Capacity", discussing with guests from China and Portuguese-speaking
countries on creating better cooperation and business environment. “Experience tells us that there are problems
with the execution of the contracts, mostly due to differences in perception, not in science or technical capabili-
ties, but the inexperience of working in diverse administrative environments.” said António Trindade.
