Many of us reminisce the old days of Macau , and some of the classic street foods represent not only the fine and
classic delicacies but also a heavy touch of emotion and history of Macau. Just like CESL Asia, a company that

Dragon's Beard Candy 龍鬚糖

Dragon's Beard Candy is a traditional street food pulled from Maltose. The
old-fashioned candy has been in the spotlight of the streets in Macau for the
past few decades. With the fantastic show performed by the old man, kids paid
for the traditional delicacy but for the great show as well. The candy is served
with sesame, shredded coconut and peanuts, characterized by a "rich, sweet
flavor" with a threaded, chewy texture.

龍鬚糖是由麥芽糖拉出的纖幼糖絲精制而成的美食。這款在澳門快要絕跡的小食，往往是街頭的伯伯在街頭
精彩表演的主角。傳統的龍鬚糖會配以芝麻、椰絲及花生粒等配料。純熟如魔術的表演，伴隨著拍案叫絕之
後的卻是龍鬚糖那精密細緻一絲絲的鬆軟，不會過甜及黐牙，令小朋友付出的零用錢值回票價。

麥芽糖夾餅 Maltose Crackers

The texture of maltose is silky and golden in color and the perfect match is the
soda biscuits. The salty taste and crispiness of the soda cracker pairs with the
sweet flavor and viscosities of the maltose wonderfully. There is an old man
who sells the Maltose Crackers surrounded by students at the Jardim de Luís
de Camões. He is a brilliant performer but also a dedicated craftsman in what
he loves doing. The beautiful contrast of flavor and texture were all written
on the kids' lovely smile and satisfaction. The Maltose Cracker is a dream for
anyone with a sweet tooth and a throwback for memories of the simple life
back in the days.
麥芽糖外觀有如金漿玉液，色澤金光明亮，質感與慣當閒角的咸脆梳打餅成為天作之合。從前在澳門白鴿巢
公園大樹等位置，總有一位受萬眾矚目的明星，被學生像蜜蜂一樣前呼後擁著。這位萬人迷便是一位賣麥芽
糖夾餅的白頭老伯伯，而那份麥芽濃香是老伯伯一生奮鬥的體現。麥芽糖夾餅咸香甜脆的滋味，寫滿在小朋
友們幸福的笑臉上，亦承載著澳門人舌尖上的童年。
