CESL Asia gathered for its annual festive celebration to reflect on a year of steady progress through 2025 and to share an optimistic outlook for 2026. Mr. Antonio Trindade, President and CEO of CESL Asia, stated that despite ongoing economic shifts across Macau, China, Portugal, and global markets, we remain prepared, focused, and confident. While 2026 will be demanding, it is also expected to bring exciting opportunities for CESL Asia, its clients, and business partners.

This year marked an important milestone with Directors Mr. Roland Schoorl and Mr. Luis Rodrigues becoming shareholders of NETEC, CESL Asia’s holding company, which is a profound commitment to our future. The appointment of Ms. Jiang Tong as Director further strengthens CESL Asia’s leadership team.

Together, their collective expertise and networks will support to explore new opportunities, and develop new high-end, sustainable businesses and technology solutions to utilize across our Macau Platform, the Greater China, Portugal, and our other markets.

In Portugal, the appointment of Mr. Carlos Carrilho as General Manager enhances local leadership, with a focus on driving strategic growth while ensuring the operational excellence and stability of the existing portfolio.

2025 marks the 25th Anniversary of the CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII). Over the past quarter-century, in collaboration with countless like-minded partners, friends, our dedicated staff and families, CSII has grown into a component of our purpose, a part of our identity, and of the sustainability of our business.

The CSII and related investments have dedicated substantial efforts to developing our current and future leaders, contributing meaningfully to our communities.

The launch of the new logo for Macau Professional Services Limited (MPS), a subsidiary of CESL Asia, signified a new phase of growth, reflecting refreshed corporate identity, stronger partnerships, advanced technologies, and reinforced management and technical teams. MPS delivered key services across major projects, including the Angel Playing Card Macau Factory, Wynn Macau new developments, Macau International Airport, and the Macau Light Rapid Transit Tunnel, while deepening cooperation within the Greater Bay Area.

Another subsidiary, FOCUS Facility Management (FOCUS FM), received the “Airport Pavement Maintenance and Safety Award,” recognizing over 30 years of professional contribution to the Macau International Airport. In 2025, FOCUS FM also highlighted service excellence across the Macau Light Rapid Transit, Galaxy Macau with a renewed three-year contract, MGM, and the Macau Outer Ferry Terminal.

In Portugal, FOCUS Platform is advancing innovative dual use of land solutions, including AgroPV projects that combine agriculture and solar energy. Proposed pilot projects in Alentejo aim to serve as R&D hubs, supporting best practices, rural development, renewable energy deployment, and increased land value, in collaboration with universities, consultants, and technology partners.

Besides, a strong partnership with high-tech companies in Portugal and China to implement advanced yet accessible technologies like drones and Intelligent Green Houses. The strategy involves owning land and providing necessary technologies, energy, and water, while entrusting actual farming to specialized operators.

At a global level, associate company, DELC Beijing, an entity in which CESL Asia invested through a separate holding, achieved national-level recognition in China as a new and high-technology enterprise at the Group level and a subsidiary level in Liaoning Province, strengthening its position for future growth in district heating and cooling operations.

Entering 2026, CESL Asia is well positioned to expand its influence in Macau and contribute to economic development across the Greater Bay Area, Mainland China, Portugal, and beyond. CESL Asia is proud to participate in the 2nd China-Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Expo (Macao) (C-PLPEX), showcasing a series of pioneering projects and partnerships that underscore the commitment to technological innovation and sustainable development.

At this year’s C-PLPEX, CESL Asia presented several key initiatives including AgroPV, which integrates modern agricultural practices with renewable energy generation through Photovoltaic (PV) technology to drive sustainable agriculture innovation; spatio-temporal prediction systems developed with Portuguese aerospace company Spin.Works, which leverages remote optical-photonic sensors, computer vision, and AI-based analytics to enhance efficiency and sustainability in agricultural and livestock operations; and AI-driven energy systems advanced with EREN and DELC, optimizing regional energy efficiency and supporting low-carbon transformation across the Greater Bay Area.

Also featured at the event was ORTUX, our self-developed intelligent asset management platform that integrates people, asset, and resource management to optimize operations and reduce maintenance costs, promoting sustainability and profitability.

Through a series of pioneering initiatives and partnerships, CESL Asia continues to bridge innovative technology and sustainability, strengthening collaboration between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. Looking forward, we will continue to leverage Macau as the strategic base to actively promote knowledge exchange, sustainable economic growth, and international cooperation.

Meanwhile, we hope the Macau Government will continue to provide strong support for Macau local companies to develop to higher economic relevance in the Macau market and also in leveraging their role as a platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, further strengthening the city’s economy and its position as a hub for international exchange and cooperation.

CESL Asia honored the 25th anniversary of the CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII), a pioneering impact program launched in 2000, with the resounding success of the “CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day 2025” on November 15, 2025, at the Macao Federation of Trade Unions Workers’ Stadium. The event raised MOP 155,000 in support of the Macau Special Olympics (MSO).

CESL Asia collaborated with 27 like-minded organizations and over 300 participants, including athletes, volunteers, judges, family members, and friends, to organize the tournaments of Bocce and Football. The lively atmosphere highlighted teamwork and inclusiveness through sporting competition and interactive exchange.

This corporate social activity aimed to foster staff leadership, corporate sustainability, and community engagement, serving as a vibrant platform for sportsmanship. CESL Asia looks forward to continuing to unite stakeholders from all sectors to promote sportsmanship and inclusion, contributing meaningful support to social well-being and sustainable development while working together to cultivate a more harmonious and inclusive community.
