Since 2012, CESL Asia has partnered with the Macau Special Olympics (MSO), providing over 13 years of support and raising over MOP 1.25 million to empower athletes with disabilities through bocce and football programs. This support for bocce and football programs includes coaching, equipment, and competitions, creating invaluable opportunities for these talented athletes to thrive. Further demonstrating the commitment, CESL Asia has hosted the “CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun Day” since 2017, an annual event that brings together corporations, communities, and vulnerable groups, fostering genuine connections and advancing an inclusive and integrated society.

Through sustained support, CESL Asia has helped MSO athletes achieve remarkable milestones. Bocce players have showcased their talents on international stages, proudly representing Macau across Asia and beyond, while football athletes have competed in national tournaments, joined Greater Bay Area youth exchanges, and participated in inclusive school programs, demonstrating the unifying power of sport.

Among these inspiring stories is Ms. Celine Ao leong, a true embodiment of resilience. Overcoming lifelong health challenges, she has stood tall on the international competition stages, and served as the Member of Special Olympics East Asia Senior Advisory Council from 2017 to 2019. Today, as the Chairman of the Macau Special Olympics Athlete Leadership Committee, she passionately champions the spirit of the Games, inspiring others with her dedication and strength.

Another outstanding athlete, Mr. Lai Kuan Kuai, whose dedication combined with the support of CESL Asia, led him to win a gold medal at the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023, marking a proud milestone for Macau.

CESL Asia's commitment goes far beyond sports. We actively nurture the holistic development of individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families. The initiatives include innovative workshops where MSO members mentor CESL Asia's colleagues, fostering skill-sharing and professional growth. In addition, CESL Asia also supports the "KAP CHI UN Cuisine Elderly Social Enterprise," promoting intergenerational inclusion, and sponsors sensory integration therapy programs that help individuals with special needs to enhance their life skills and independence.

Since 2013, CESL Asia has proudly collaborate with Banco Nacional Ultramarino to launch the “CESL Asia Affinity Card program,” pioneering a transformative approach to community development through everyday spending. More than just a financial tool, the Affinity Card serves as a bridge between the public and society, enabling every purchase to contribute to Macau's sustainable development.

Under the support of dedicated cardholders, the program has generated over MOP 280,000 in revenue, all of which has been directed to CESL Asia's initiatives. This achievement underscores our unwavering commitment to social investment and positive community change, reflecting the collaboration of our partners and the boarder public.

The initiative supports a diverse array of local charitable organizations and programs, including the Macau Eco-TrailHiker, MSO, and the Macau Red Cross, etc. From environmental conservation and inclusive sports to humanitarian relief, every act of support showcases the community's compassion and active involvement in growing a better Macau.

The “CESL Asia Kid's Drawing Contest”, one of the flagship events of the CSII, has been nurturing creativity and potential in Macau's young generation since its inception. More than just a contest, it serves as a platform for children to showcase their imagination, talent, and unique perspectives on society and the future. Now in its sixth edition, the contest features meaningful themes each year, guiding participants to think beyond the canvas.

The themes in the past have centered on environmental protection, renewable energy, and sustainable development, topics that encourage children to explore the importance of sustainability while expressing the diversity of the world and the infinite possibilities of tomorrow.

The contest is open to students aged 8 to 14 from local schools, whose entries reflect both imaginative ideas and heartfelt emotions, showcasing the unique perspectives of Macau's new generation on future cities, green living, and social inclusion.

Over the years, the Kid's Drawing Contest has become a highly anticipated community event, embraced by enthusiastic students, their parents, schools, and the boarder public. Through this initiative, CESL Asia aims to inspire the next generation to care for the environment, think innovatively, and envision a brighter future, fostering the social development by the power of art.

As a vital bridge between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, CESL Asia has placed sustainable agriculture and renewable energy at the core of its international strategy. By introducing world-class low-carbon technologies and high-tech farming solutions, CESL Asia has not only reinforced Macau's role as a global innovation hub but also offered a replicable blueprint for the green transformation of agriculture worldwide.

A good illustration of hi-tech farming solutions are the applications developed through the partnership between CESL Asia and Spin.Works, an aerospace company established in 2006 in Portugal for Earth observation and missions to the Moon and Mars. The partnership is currently developing spatio-temporal prediction of animal breeding and agriculture operations for multi-actor usability: integration of remote optical-photonic sensors, computer vision and artificial intelligence to improve product quality and yields.

A recent visit by a high-level delegation from the Shanghai Modern Agricultural Investment and Development Group to Monte do Pasto, CESL Asia's farm in the Alentejo region of Portugal, highlighted CESL Asia's innovations in high-tech agriculture, from low-carbon livestock systems and precision techniques in almond and olive cultivation to integrated models that integrate drone-based monitoring with advanced water recycling systems.

One of the flagship initiatives, AgroPV, which has successfully merged farming with solar energy generation using High-Concentration Photovoltaic technology. Beyond producing clean energy, the installation provides shaded areas for livestock, mitigating heat stress while enhancing land resilience and ecological value, demonstrating a forward-looking approach to sustainable agriculture through technological synergy.

Over the six years of strategic development, Monte do Pasto has achieved a threefold increase in land value and is now recognized as a benchmark for sustainable agriculture aligned with EU standards. This visit also marked a key milestone in deepening Chinese-Portuguese agricultural cooperation. Insights from Monte do Pasto are set to inform the development of an agricultural technology project spanning 400 square kilometers in Pudong, Shanghai, laying the foundation for China's agricultural modernization and green transition.

To further promote innovation and industrial upgrading, CESL Asia plans to establish an agricultural investment fund of 100 to 200 million euros. Leveraging Macau's unique role as a commercial and trade platform between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, the fund will support the cutting-edge agri-tech solutions, such as AgroPV and water-efficient agriculture, aiming to develop a full-value chain from technology transfer to industrial application.

In parallel, CESL Asia's “Macau Platform” continues to serve as a pivotal role, facilitating cross-border exchange of technologies, services, and expertise between China, Portuguese-speaking countries, and Europe, which reinforces Macau's strategic positioning in the global finance landscape and accelerates the alignment of economic growth with sustainability goals.

By integrating global innovations and deepening international cooperation, CESL Asia is pioneering a new path in agriculture that balances ecological value with economic growth. Through the promotion of sustainable practices and renewable energy, CESL Asia not only advances the collaboration between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, but also contributes valuable experience to Macau's role as "One Center, One Platform, One Base."

CESL Asia has recently been invited to enter a partnership with Macau Productivity and Technology Transfer Center (CPTTM), officially becoming one of its member organizations. This strategic partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing local talent development and driving industrial upgrading, underscoring a shared commitment between public and private sector to work together in shaping a dynamic and sustainable future for Macau.

CPTTM, a non-profit organization jointly established by the Macau government and the private sector, has been playing a vital role in empowering local enterprises through creativity and technological innovation. Its mission is to enhance product and service value, strengthen business competitiveness, promote the growth of emerging　industries, and connect local resources with global networks to support Macau's economic diversification.
