For the first time the CESL Asia Annual Christmas Party happened online with a strong participation of all its leadership and teams. It showed the ability of the company to adapt to change, while highlighting the best of its people centered culture!

        This unique event showed videos with heartfelt motivating messages from all executive directors and shared testimonials and stories from the awardees of 2020 Loyalty Service Award that explained how the past ten and twenty years working within the CESL Asia group contributed to their growth as professionals and individuals.

        The streaming of a Live Lucky Draw put a perfect end to the event, distributing a total of 100 gifts among all employees.  After such a challenging year it was the perfect event to boost the morale as fill everyone with hope and a sense of strong optimism looking forward for 2021.

         Trust in the future was the central theme of Mr. António Trindade, the President and CEO of CESL Asia, speech for this occasion. He highlighted how the company was able to navigate the crisis with its usual, clear sense of purpose and strong commitment to move forward and take advantage of the opportunities arising. 

        In fact 2020 was a year of achievements for CESL Asia, that included: “True Born” a sustainable premium beef brand produced by Monte do Pasto ready to launch in Macau;  investment in innovations to provide customers higher-value and higher-quality services and transforming internally to better capture the opportunities of the Greater Bay Area, contributing to make Macau a stronger international finance, trade and investment platform and building social and economic bridgesbetween China, Macau, Portugal and Europe.

          Mr. Antonio Trindade also took the opportunity to express sincere gratitude to all business partners that have been growing together with CESL Asia and to reinforce the company’s ongoing commitment “to grow together, to grow a city!” and to shape a better tomorrow for all. 

 

盛世集團舉辦了一場別開生面的線上聖誕派對,讓一眾管理層和團隊歡度佳節。這項年度慶祝活動移師至網上舉行,充分體現了公司靈活創新的應變能力及人為本的企業文化!

          活動由一段精彩的影片拉開序幕:管理層特意錄制祝福語和謝辭,以感謝全體員工在疫境中盡忠職守;忠誠服務獎的得獎者發表感言,分享過往在公司十年、二十年的工作點滴,回顧個人成長及專業能技的發展。

          影片完結後,透過數碼科技進行現場直播大抽獎,合共送出一百份禮物,為員工帶來一場開心放鬆的線上聖誕派對,讓大家士氣高漲地迎接新的一年。

         影片中,集團董事主席及行政總裁田達德先生發表講話,圍繞主題「對未來的信任」。他強調了公司​​目標明確,意志堅定,定能化危為機,勇往直前,充分利用機遇。

       實際上,2020年對盛世集團來說是充滿成就的一年,包括源自於葡萄牙農場Monte do Pasto的可持續優質牛肉品牌「True Born」進軍澳門市場;投資創新科技,為客戶提供更高價值和高質量的服務;進行戰略調整,更好地把握大灣區的重大機遇,使澳門成為更強大的國際金融,貿易和投資平台,並努力不懈促進中國內地、澳門、葡語系國家及歐洲各地的社會經濟的合作關係。 

        田達德先生亦衷心感謝所有合作夥伴的信賴。雖然未來環境仍存很多不確定性,但我們充滿信心,矢志攜手,繼續「悉心共樹新城市」。

Macau Professional Services, Limited (MPS), a subsidiary of CESL Asia, is honored to have been awarded twice in 2020. Architect Mário Neves and MPS team of in-house talented Architects and Engineering professionals received the Gold Prize of “Macau Architecture Awards 2020” and the Merit Award of “Mong Ha Hill Architectural Concept Design Competition” for the design of “Taipa Pequena Lookout” facility, an urban leisure and tourist facility promoted by DSSOPT of the Government of the Macau SAR. CESL Asia and MPS have been promoting eco-friendly projects with a positive socio-economic impact on the community. As with other MPS architectural projects, such as the ‘Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre’, this now award-winning Project is becoming an important landmark in the city contributing to the diversification of urban facilities offered by the Macau Government to improve the quality of life of its citizens and provide new attractions for tourists.

盛世集團旗下子公司澳門專業顧問有限公司(MPS)於2020年下半年度獲得了澳門兩項建築獎項。 分別是「2020年澳門建築設計大獎」金獎和「望廈山市政公園無障礙步行系統建築概念設計比賽」優異獎,獲獎作品是「氹仔小潭山觀景台」設計項目。兩個項目均由建築師李文浩先生帶領的優秀建築師及工程專家團隊完成。 盛世集團和子公司MPS致力於推動綠色建築的發展,為社區帶來積極社會經濟影響。與其他MPS建築工程項目一樣,如「南灣湖水上活動中心」休憩設施項目,這些屢獲殊榮的項目已經成為澳門的重要地標,為城市的多元化發展作出了貢獻,同時亦改善了市民生活質量,為旅客提供新的景點。

The outer harbor terminal project team uses extension ladders in their daily operations. To enhance safety awareness and worker competency in using this equipment, the QAS team organized special training in November for the frontline staff. The training showcased how to open, close and use the ladders in a safe way. It also reminded staff that whenever possible, to not work alone when working at height. The training aims to reduce the risk of accidents.

伸縮梯子是外港碼頭項目團隊日常工作的必備工具。

為了提高使用該工具的安全意識和能力,品質安全部同事於11月為前線員工組織了培訓課程。培訓內容主要是解釋梯具的使用、開關時要注意的事項,以及提醒同事切忌獨自使用梯具工作,應有同事從旁協助,以策安全。

是次培訓旨在通過講解及示範,降低事故風險。

On November 1, over 150 participants and volunteers from 17 companies and organizations were invited to participate in the “CESL Asia and Friends Sport Fun day” organized by CESL Asia and co-hosted by Macau Special Olympic (“MSO”) and Sporting Clube de Macau. This event is part of “CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII), which aims to promote values of equality and inclusion within the community. The proceeds from the event, amounting to MOP 120,000, were donated to MSO and will support its work in training disabled athletes empowering them to realize their full potential. Congratulations to the team of Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU) on winning the Football Tournament, the team of Tai Fung Bank and the team of MGM on winning the Bocce Golden Cup Competition and the Bocce Silver Plate Competition, respectively. Thank you very much to the volunteers for their efforts in this meaningful and fulfilling event!

由盛世集團主辦,澳門特殊奧運會及澳門士砵亭體育會協辦的「2020盛世之友運動同樂日」於11月圓滿舉行。活動得到來自17所不同業界公司與機構的鼎力支持,超過150名熱心人士和義工參與其中。 作為盛世社會發展計劃的重點活動之一,活動旨在促進社區內傷健共融和平等互助的理念。是次活動所籌得之澳門幣12萬元善款會全數撥捐予澳門特殊奧運會,以支持其特殊運動員之體育發展。 藉此之際,恭喜大西洋銀行的隊伍贏得足球邀請賽冠軍,大豐銀行及美高梅的隊伍分別贏得滾球邀請賽金盃賽及銀碟賽冠軍,亦十分感謝義工們的付出,成就了充實又別具意義的活動!

Within their routine inspection and operational activity, Mr. Zhang Derong and the team had to monitor and control the water level of the cooling towers. Water consumption is directly correlated with the outside temperature and the filling level of the cooling tower. As the initial design of the cooling towers did not include the installation of a water level indicator it became extremely difficult for operators to visually assess and adjust the water level to the correct level. Mr. Zhang suggested adding a clear mark that would make it easier to identify the water levels at different conditions. The solution found was to use a transparent plastic board with ping-pong balls. The water level was finally adjusted which enhanced water consumption performance, with positive impacts on both costs and the environment.

To prevent the cooling towers from being damaged during the typhoon season, wires are used to tie the towers. The wires are placed at the top and bottom of the towers with a distance of 10 cm between them, making it difficult to identify because they are thin and have a neutral color. At night or in low visibility conditions, imperceptible wires create serious safety problems for personnel working on cooling towers. To solve this problem our team used PVC tubes to cover the wires and applied black and yellow safety warning strips. In addition, the wires were also tightened and locked with iron cubes. As a result, the wires are now visible and the lack of security issues that existed have been significantly reduced.

同事張德榮先生在日常工作中需要負責在銀河一期水塔監察及控制水位。受控水位高度會因外間溫度及用量而需調節。 他認為原先的水塔在設計上沒有預先制定刻度,會為操作上會帶來不便,同事們不能有效控制正常水位位置,在節省用水方面亦不能達至預期效果。 有見及此,他建議在水塔邊緣加裝刻度標識,利用浮波及預設刻度控制水位。最終方案得到管理層認可,使用透明膠板及兵兵球改善水位的標識,達到節能和易於操作的效果。

為了防止水塔在颱風來臨時造成損壞,團隊用鋼絲為水塔進行加固施工。加建的鋼絲橫越了水塔面及底部,與水塔表面大約有10厘米距離,鋼絲細小並與水培表面沒有明顯色差,不易察覺,特別是夜間及光源不充足時更難發現。在上面行走時易被絆倒,亦有機會從塔面掉落地上或導致其他安全意外。 為了改善上述安全隱患,同事易玉彬先生建議在鋼絲上加裝一條膠管,用黃黑膠紙包在膠管上,以加強識別。另外,為免因鋼絲離地容易令人員絆倒,利用鐵碼把鋼絲壓到貼近水塔表面,進一步降低意外風險。

To celebrate CESL Asia Social Investment Initiative (CSII) 20th Anniversary and reinforce its importance as an inspirational driving force of the group and a powerful tool to develop the right set of skills in its workforce, all employees were offered a CSII Jacket that was specially designed for the occasion. Together with the jacket, each employee received a blessing card from Mr. António Trindade, the President and CEO of CESL Asia, that took the opportunity to express his gratitude to all colleagues for their hard work, strong collaboration and sense of duty during the Covid 19 outbreak, and to encourage the staff to maintain the same professional and positive attitude throughout 2021 and excel in supporting CESL Asia  Clients’ businesses and the community.
